ABOUT ME

So, who am I and what’s my approach

I’m a qualified counsellor with a Bachelor of Counselling and I’m registered with both Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA). I specialize in providing compassionate and effective counselling services to individuals facing a range of challenges.

I have a person centred, trauma informed strengths based approach to counselling. I use evidence-based approaches to counselling, blending a range of therapeutic modalities including mindfulness, psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), positive psychology, solution-focused therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), and attachment and trauma-focused therapy.

On a personal level I love to connect with my clients, meeting new people every day and learning about their lives gets me out of bed and energises me throughout the day. I absolutely love my job and it is an honour and privilege to be able to speak with different people about their lives and help them grow and change.

Counselling with me is always going to be client led, you are the expert in your own life and I am here to help and assist you with whatever you want to talk about. My counselling room is a space where we can talk about heavy topics, but it doesn’t always have to be gloomy and dark. If you’re looking for a counsellor that is warm, engaging and will crack a joke or two as well as help you build the life you want, I’m your girl.
